Message from the President

Kasho Shimizu was established in 1947, shortly after the war.Born as "Kishodo"

Founded in Ina City by Masato and Yasuko Shimizu, inherited by my father Norimitsu and mother Reiko. It has become a sales store, introduced a computer-controlled oven for the first time in Nagano Prefecture, and has made technological innovations in confectionery manufacturing like no other. During this time, we have been blessed with many kind-hearted customers and have received a lot of "trust" and "love" from them. And I took over from my parents, and today I am able to welcome the time of more than 75 years in business as "Kasho Shimizu". thank you very much.

I learned from my late grandmother
What must change and what must never change

Currently, we are engaged in “Dream Cake” activities at elementary and junior high schools, children’s homes, companies and governments nationwide.

"Sweets Dinner Party” where we serve a full course of sweets, food and alcohol, harvesting cacao beans overseas, We are pursuing value that only Kasho Shimizu can provide, such as the production of "Bean to Bar Chocolate" that consistently performs fermentation, roasting, and compounding in-house, and the "Monthly Special Cake" that can only be eaten here now. .

Recently, we have opened an online sweets class "Home Pastry" and a YouTube channel that disseminates useful information on making sweets. I am.

In the future, we will build a brand that can be transmitted from Ina to the world, such as a bakery shop and a chocolate factory, and will devote ourselves to our dreams so that we can be the pride of Ina.

Due to various reasons that are changing over time, we are now being asked to make major changes. However, it is important to have a firm understanding of what must change and what must never change.

As technology and techniques evolve, various means should continue to change. However, I believe that the "purpose'' should not change. what do you work for? What do you make sweets for? What do you do business for? My answer lies in something I learned from my late grandmother Haruko.

To work is to make others comfortable

Working is about making others feel at ease

True joy lies in continuing to create joy for others. Neighborhood means someone close to you. My family, staff, business partners, and local customers. First of all, I feel that the meaning of work is to create joy and fun for those around me.

With this unchanging feeling in mind, we will continue to fulfill our role as a confectionery store that creates a new era.

A “new lifestyle” is not something that is given to us by others, but something that we create ourselves. Together with our staff, we will continue to do our best to pursue “uniqueness” and “original value” that can only be created by us, Shimizu.

We believe that we have a role as a confectionery store. It is to give dreams and excitement to the world through sweets.

Our goal is to make people smile and feel happy with the sweets we make. Sweets have the magic of making people happy. We don't just aim to be a sweets shop that just makes and sells sweets.

Our mission is to create a happy scene beyond sweets.

Shop concept

Making sweets is a Making dreams
The value we create...

1

It is to create delicious sweets by always using new sense and reliable techniques to bring out the wonderfulness of the people, time, things, and events of Ina Valley.
To communicate to the world.

2

It is to create joy for as many people as possible while thinking about someone special through sweets.
Supporting the dreams of children around the world through sweets.

3

It is about being excited and realizing the value of your existence.
Creating a scene of togetherness beyond sweets.

That is our philosophy: "Creating confectionery is creating dreams.''

What is a dream cake?

Dream Cake is an activity that fosters bonds with your loved ones through sweets, in line with our cherished vision.

Dream Cake is about turning children's future dreams into cakes.

Children draw pictures of their dreams for the future, and based on those pictures, we confectioners and children work together to decorate and create a one-of-a-kind cake. We work at elementary and junior high schools, orphanages, etc. all over Japan, and have made dream cakes with about 40,000 children so far.

The Dream Cake Project is an activity that receives a lot of attention and has been featured on TV.
